Redesign: Improvement of designs that already exist.
The concept of Redesign is the art of furniture rearrangement and accessory placement. We start with an assessment of the space, interview with the client, take pictures and measurements so we can create a floor plan, if necessary. Then we schedule a second appointment for the actual Redesign.
We empty the complete contents of the room to start with a blank canvas. Using the principles of design; balance, scale, proportion and harmony, we address the purpose and the focal point, creating rooms that are not only beautiful, but comfortable and functional as well. We only bring things back into the room that serve the purpose of the room in creating the look and feel you want. We may borrow from other rooms in the house if needed. We know that sometimes change is hard when you are used to things a certain way for a long period of time... be assured, you have our guarantee you will love it or we will refresh it for you.

Moving in any stage of life can have its ups and downs... As newlyweds you may bring a eclectic blend of furniture to your first home. You may have some favorite "cant live without" pieces and probably some "cant wait to get rid of that" pieces. Well, so does your significant other! As designers, its our job to find a style that suits you both - Merging your tastes and furnishings to create a home you both feel comfortable living in. We may shop for new furniture to start as our core pieces or we might only need a few accessories to pull the look together. Ideally, we work with you before the "Big Day" (Moving day - of course!) and choose the pieces that will work best and help in donating or selling the rest. We can create floor plans to help you get set up in the initial spaces. We can help you in the unpacking process helping you define the areas in the home , organize your closets and cupboards from day one!
Maybe you are bringing furnishings and families together? Children needs spaces to call their own! We are sensitive to the changes and uncertainty they may experience with a parent in a new marriage - we encourage them to be part of the creative process so they feel connected to their new surroundings. We incorporate ideas of siblings sharing spaces so they are on common ground.
One the other end of life, we help with Senior Downsizing. At this stage, a professional organizer is a vital part of the moving process. Seniors have lived a lifetime with their "stuff" and have strong emotional attachments to their things, where as, their children may not understand. Because of the high emotions involved, we serve as a liaison between the parent and child or health provider. We are respectful of the homeowners wishes and what belongings mean the most to them. Ideally, we have access to their new home so we can take measurements and make floor plans to make sure they take what they need to fit most comfortably in their new maintainable space! We are also a resource for estate settlements, antique appraisals, charity donations, etc. and can be a liaison with movers helping pack until moving day, then unpack and help settle in, worry free.
